|
A Wizard of Earthsea tells the story of Ged, a young boy who has magical abilities. Ged discovers his talent unexpectedly. Once his abilities are apparent, he is sent to school, where he has to endure much to gain command of his talent. But there's evil lurking in the background tied to his magic, something that is part of him that he must conquer. Children 12 and older will love this tale involving dragons, voyage around islands and a great battle.
Even though it is part one in a series, the story stands completely on it's own.
